Upon receiving approval from the Agency of Education we can waive our student attendance days related to snow days as long as we ensure that all schools have remained open for a minimum of 172 student days. This opportunity to waive our three snow days is only in effect for this school year. Please see the exception below for the Brownington School.
What does that mean for the end of the year?
***The Brownington School had to close for three additional days beyond snow days this year due to loss of power and boiler failure. Therefore, the Last Student Day for the Brownington Students will be on Friday, June 16th (this will also be a half day).
***For All other Schools within OCSU (Albany, Barton, Glover, Irasburg, Orleans and the Lake Region Union High School, your last student day (which is also a half day) on Tuesday, June 13th.
The state's waiver only impacts student attendance days, not staff contractual days. Therefore, OCSU faculty and staff will be working beyond the June 13th student dismissal day.
